My dad was killed by carbon monoxide poisining in a garage that had a water heater leak..now that im home for the holidays im forced to use our garage as a spare bedroom…im really paranoid about sleeping in there…we had a carbon monixide detecter but my brother broke it when my family moved here…so what do you guys think?
theres no windows at all in the garage…the thing is ive slept in here in the past without any problems..but now that the weather is getting colder we are using the heater and its just freakin me out knowing its being used…also could i just keep the door open that leads to the garage from inside the house because thats the only thing i can open besides the garage door itself

What type of heater would be best for a garage that I am planning on wood working? Will a certain type be better for sawdust? Will some clog?

Install and top vent wall heater in a garage?

Posted by admin On February - 9 - 20102 COMMENTS

I have a Williams Monteray 35,000BTU top vented wall heater that I want to install in my garage. The problem is where I want to install it, I would have to vent it thru the wall instead of the roof. Is there a problem with venting it thru the wall using a thimble (assuming that there are no issues with where the exhaust gases are venting to)?
