Unless its’ unsightly its’ good for drainage, particularly if the asphalt slopes toward your garage- then you need to put a swale in the concrete to let it run into a drain or something. Just scrape it out 3-5 ” and pack it with bags of asphalt and stamp it in with a steel bar or something- put some wood on either side first so you don’t hit the existing stuff. That caulk filler stuff looks crappy but its’ easier, if it snows there don’t over do it.

It is an expansion joint. You could use some type of elastomeric filler. What ever you use needs to be able to “move” with the expanding and contract surface on either side.

I would not advise filling it in–Thats why it is there – to allow both separate slabs to expand & contract. If you fill it in with something that wont expand – this could cause either or both to crack when they expand.
